A chinese place I like has started a new policy on their "to go" buffet where an employee walks down the line and fixes it for you. I hate that. I want to fix it the way I want with more of the stuff I like, less of other things. Their takeout plates are smaller than normal anyway so even if you filled it with the most expensive item they wouldn't lose money. I think it's more about work.

If it said All you can eat buffet then sure it would be wrong, but it wasn't portrayed that way, therefore the couple are in the wrong ... even though its fucking bent either way =P

Nothing like good PR

Not that I'd be caught dead at any place named "chuck-a-rama"..... but if any buffet here in Winnipeg ever tried to tell someone what they can and can't eat at their buffet, well, there are a lot of people here who would avoid them like the plague is all I'm saying.

People go to a buffet so they can pick and choose what they want, and get enough to eat that they don't go home hungry. If that means 10 trips to the trough, then that's what it is.

There are too many other buffet-style places who just shaddap and put the food out and let you have at it, you can go up for as many trips to the buffet as you want. If something runs out they bring more out, and there is no snooty manager watching over your every move or counting each portion you take.

That restaurant could very well lose a lot of business over this.
