Sucessful people KNOW their weeknesses. What is your largest personal problem?

ya ya ya - you're the fucking greatest thing since sliced bread.

FUCK THAT. Why WON'T you make it in this Biz? - SPILL IT. What is the #1 thing that is holding you back from reaching the next level - whatever that level is. (i'm speaking financially) - i don't care if you make $10,000 a year or $100,000,000 a year - Everyone has something that holds them back.

sucessful people KNOW their weeknesses. Saying you have none is the sign of a fool.

so what's your biggest PROBLEM?

hydro 04-23-2004 12:22 AM

chronic masterbation

stocktrader23 04-23-2004 12:22 AM

Bore easily.

WiredGuy 04-23-2004 12:23 AM

Finding employees who will not turn into your biggest competition after training them. One of my biggest drawbacks in staffing.

Sly_RJ 04-23-2004 12:23 AM

I think too much. Meaning... I have too many ideas and want to try them all out, spreading myself way too thin. I'm getting much better though, have a new schedule/plan and I've done pretty well at sticking to it even though I've had quite a few new ideas I wanted to try.

Boredom

Digipimp 04-23-2004 12:28 AM

Yeah I get bored very easily as well and end up trying to many things at one time.

RicardoB 04-23-2004 12:33 AM

If anything my temper.

wdsguy 04-23-2004 12:33 AM

Depression :(
Socialphobia :(

Donny 04-23-2004 12:34 AM

I think yours is spelling. LOL. "weakness"

blackmonsters 04-23-2004 12:36 AM

My dick is too big and it makes me depressed that I need a big gaping pussy on a fat bitch to cum.

Just thinking about this everyday takes away from my gallery submissions and stuff. :1orglaugh

Other than that; I have too many ideas and spread myself too thin like the other guy said.

TurboTrucker 04-23-2004 12:37 AM

I don't press myself hard enough. Also I need to set more goals.

KRL 04-23-2004 12:41 AM

Finding people that can keep up with my energy level for multi-tasking is very very hard. I get impatient fast when people can't figure out how to do something and by the time you explain it you could have done it yourself.

So I often don't delegate things that I could and probably should. Even agreements on deals for example. I was pre-law in college and I still like drafting the core elements of agreements myself and then let the attorneys put the finishing touches on them. That's not productive use of my time, but I really like doing it.

never let lawyers run your business. you always tell them what the fuck to do, never give them too much controll. (pre-law too, got in, didn't go.)

A necessary evil unfortunately. I hate it with a passion.

I really can't stand all the time you have to waste interviewing people too. 99% are putzes that can't even put a resume together in an impressive way.

:BangBang:

shermo 04-23-2004 12:56 AM

My problem is that I find it hard to say no to people. I'm generally a nice guy who tries to please as many people as possible. One day I'll just have to realize that I am allowed to veto some things. Once I toughen up, I'll be a leader instead of a person who just keeps up with things.

chaze 04-23-2004 12:57 AM

Maybe it's because you have a small dick???

torrey 04-23-2004 12:58 AM

In the past my biggest weakness has been that once everything is running smoothly, I got terminally bored. I used to just walk away and start something new: usually in a completely unrelated business.

For several reasons I have never seen myself earning anything more than a decent income from porn. But I would have problems if I did want to go further, because I'm not comfortable having no direct contact with my customers and needing to make so many assumptions about what works and what does not.

It's the one reason I like Waterloo. Two universities and U of W has plenty of smart computer science students. Any staff I do take, I restrict to 1st and 2nd year students; people who have too much school to think about competing against me, and within 2 years (when they graduate), the market has changed too much for them to be a threat.

I get distracted easily and I am not as organized as I should be.

What's holding me back... ?

My huge black 8 pound dick... its not really holding me back but it is holding me down.:1orglaugh

maxjohan 04-23-2004 01:18 AM

Too little traffic....

The gallery thing is really bugging me. Some days I think.. great, and two days later I think I will not get listed and stop submitting.

fear, bad patience and tight budget.

But the good thing is...

I'm not addicted to GFY anymore lol.

:thumbsup

I don't think most people understand the question..

Self discipline as a whole in everything we do. That is my number one and truly my only flaw.

I'm the same way KRL, thats why i'm such a workoholic

Shaze 04-23-2004 01:43 AM

my most recent flaw: spending to much time on gfy that could be used developing ideas and sites....i feel guilty sometimes but this board is to addicting to stop looking

another one is spreading myself to thin because of too much projects going on at the same time....i jump back and forth between projects alot and lose my train of thought

i can't rely on anyone to finish what i start so it takes more time but it gets done the way i wanted it to. if you want something done right you do it yourself... so i guess it boils down to trust issues with me.

montel 04-23-2004 01:52 AM

Absolutely. The limit on my success is what I can do in 24 hours each day. If I could delegate it would be a big help.

But every time it has been a disaster...As soon as they reach a certain skill level or get a whiff of how much money is really involved they are gone with your ideas.

Yep thats my weakness too...I keep ending up doing 7 things half ways. Instead of 2 thing full. I'm working on that now. I good if you see your flaws, cause then you can work on them.

Another thing is that I enjoy being naked, and that distracts my co-workers too....:winkwink:

I second that ... and what WG said. I had 20+ emplyees in my IT biz (still a shareholder) and getting the right people was the biggest obstacle to growing fast while retaining a consistent quality level.

When the biz grew up to 80+ I found the HRM department was doing a good job so it's a matter of critical mass as well. But each time you start something new (and I did), you start with the basics.
