DRAFT! It's on the way as war costs skyrocket!
I told you guys months ago a new military draft was brewing. Congress is mulling over it now. The war in Iraq is $87 Billion in need and an election is coming up. Who wants to bet that Bush will say no draft and one week after he wins this election ( there's no doubt he'll win, it's fixed like the first one ) they'll reinstitute the draft and all your young asses will be up for grabs.
This is gonna lead to a civil war in the U.S. which is what the powers that be wanted all along. Just another motivator to engage in domestic crackdowns and rights violations. Hope you guys have a nice time over there fighting for oil, us old farts will be here snagging up all the poontang and hiring all the felons who can't serve to rob and steal some more. I thought Luke Skywalker won that fight. Guess I was wrong. |
hey chicken little, the sky is falling

the real basis to sugest a draft is to put pressure on the entire mission.
people hear draft and get pissed that we are over there. |

I guess it just depends how many more countries are going to be 'liberated' in the near future.
Iraq will need U.S soldiers for many years to come if there is going to be democracy as is the plan. I think they could ease off from the 125,000 troops to perhaps 20,000 over the next 5 years. If more fronts open up too soon there could be trouble and we might see a need for 200,000-500,000 depending how fucked things get.. i guess that's a pessimistic view.. war with Iran and without much allied support would probably require a draft.. I doubt the U.S will repeat what's happened in Iraq elsewhere any time soon. |
One thing I heard on the news...
A draft can't be implemented if we're NOT in a state of war. You can argue that we are at war now, BUT, for us to be officially in a state of war, the President must make a declaration of war with the country he is attacking. He did not do this with Iraq. |

I'm not sure there will be a draft, but something needs to be done - especially with all the supporters slowly pulling out.
I don't think Bush will be getting re-elected this time, he's gonna follow in daddies footsteps and be a 1-term fool. |
