ROFL, Van Nuys is not the most scenic place to live I'd imagine, but the property values are probably still pretty reasonable.

they always shoot movies in the valley, cheaper than hollywood, doesnt make it a nice place to live.

as far as movies, they shoot movies here all the time. ive even had my apt complex on lockdown due to film trucks lining my streets and courtyard filled with fucking actors practicing lines ;)

they are always filming Americas Most Wanted here hahaha they use the streets of NoHo and burbank all the time in scenes from what I see.

sherman oaks/studio city right next to van nuys is ten times better. it's a fucking dirty hole, anyone who's been up to the courthouse knows exactly what i mean.

Hey Fletch, have you seen Spun? I'm guessing not from your answer, get the Directors Cut, unedited version and you will laugh your ass off. It looks just like Van Nuys. Not Van Nuys dressed up to look like Hollywood, but the real thing.

I am through there occasionally, it's not that bad compared to other industrial areas around the country really. There's a great nail place on the corner of Victory and I want to say Lankershim or close to it ;)

the only part of Van Nuys that's inhabitable is the one that's closest to Sherman Oaks imo...

I live here and love it.. lots of plam tress, 15 mins away from everything, 24 hour taco bell, 24 hour western bagel, more 7-11's then you can shake a stick at.. but there are shootings, like this one 3 apt. buildings down from me a couple of weeks ago.. only 1 person was killed

Yep, the part west of the 405 closest to Lake Balboa. I believe that part broke off and is named "Lake Balboa" district now. I guess the name VAN NUYS kept depressing their real estate prices. LOL :1orglaugh
