I'd suggest a healthy combination of both.

It's always best to have a couple different sponsors with different options and if possible, different payout dates. Spread your traffic and your income around amongst a hadful of good sponsors and sprinkle in some newer ones.

It depends on the sponsor, you really have to test what works best for you. If a site has good exclusive content I go with revshare

if your in the biz for the long run, you will use revshare
