vhosts and unlimited subdomains
want to configure virtual hosts so that I can create new and unlimited subdomains simply by creating a new directory in the file system. I know this is possible but i don't know how to do it
EXAMPLE ------------------------------------------- /var/www/html/www/index.html can be accessed at http://www.domain.com/index.html /var/www/html/www/sub1/index.html can be accessed at http://sub1.domain.com/index.html /var/www/html/www/sub2/index.html can be accessed at http://sub2.domain.com/index.html ------------------------------------------- I have looked at the Apache docs on mod_vhost_alias, but haven't found a concrete example of what I am looking for. If anyone has done something similar, I would appreciate any help you could give. |
