HOLLYWOOD ? California officials are set to lower the boom on adult content companies, deciding to begin health inspections on production sets after two actors contracted the AIDS virus. Full Story...

Mandatory condoms ruins a lot of niches...everybody put on their thinking cap to come up with new markets. :warning

I'm not. I said last week that this would probably happen. If the production industry can't regulate itself I have no doubt the government will be all too happy to do it for them.

There are lots of smart pornographers that run a tight ship and keep a zero tolerance policy on testing..... but like in anything else there are idiots and idiot companies that don't. They ruin it for everyone with their greed and their risk-taking.

Mandatory condoms would result in less content being produced in California. Producers can just go somewhere else. Another state or another country.

yep, but no matter what, the girls are in LA, thus increasing the cost of production.

The girls are in LA because the money is in LA. If the money moves somewhere else, the girls will follow it.

I'm not saying all the production companies are going to pick up and leave California, but we might see a gradual migration to some other state.

If producers want to shoot no-condom porn, they're going to do it, even if it means producing the porn in another state or country even.

Or will companies like Wicked, VCA, and Vivid put out more and take on more of the talent for hire?

If the companies move to other states it will just make the states they move to try to pass the same law.

We could say this is a conspiricy theory created by the condom companies :1orglaugh

NO.
They wish they could but do not forget this is a product driven industry on a global market place where rules change every mile of the surface.
If popular demand is no condoms in a production which in theory is the case there are no number of "With condom" Productions that will suffice.

You can have 100 movies with condom content for sale and theoretically the 20 movies with no condom in the content will sell more through private distributions and yield higher profits.
Basically production for in demand content will drop while keeping profits higher maintaining a lower cost in distribution and production.

Whats happening will actually increase cases of HIV in the industry as business's move elsewhere.

Bloods not on my hands when this comes through...
