You can now registered your domain for 100 years!

I got this from NSI:
"Protecting your online identity is now easier than ever with the 100 Year Domain Service from Network Solutions®!"

Will anyone register their domain(s) that long!

Welcome to 100 years ago :winkwink:

:P... There was a thread on this about a month ago... good plan for NSOL. They'll have a HUGE cash buffer that they can sit there and earn interest on since they only register the domains for 10 years at a time (they just renew it automatically if you're on the 100 year plan).

They'll make huge money on that one.

they can give no warranty , in next 100 years nuklear bomb can destroy our planet or UFO attack us

You can have all of mine for free in a 100 years, but you will have
to collect personally:Graucho

Ash@phpFX 04-20-2004 08:12 AM

i dont think too many people or companies would commit for that long, its a pretty stupid idea, much better to renew every year and not keep your $$$ tied up

sexyclicks 04-20-2004 08:13 AM

yeah I will leave my domains to my children

Firehorse 04-20-2004 09:17 AM

It reminds me of the way the bank tries to hold on to money transfers for a little longer than they need to! :glugglug

axelcat 04-20-2004 09:18 AM

dav555add 04-20-2004 09:19 AM

ace0r 04-20-2004 09:20 AM

how much

ChewbaCreative 04-20-2004 09:32 AM

maybe for thousand years - it's more interesing

AdultDesigners 04-20-2004 09:35 AM

I have most of my domains for life .. and I think my children will inherit them if I will have any children in the future. :)

Nas7782 04-20-2004 10:18 AM

I believe the limit is 10 years, and netsol basically auto renew it for you when the 10 years are up. The only domain that I'm willing to renew that long is a personal or family name.

Lykos 04-20-2004 02:33 PM

Hmmm....don't see the point of registering that long...but ok whatever:glugglug

DR_PHIL 04-20-2004 02:34 PM

10 years is my limit

Centurion 04-20-2004 02:36 PM

Sounds like ya'll missed the "fine print" in that email they sent out.

For an additional $99.99, they'll guarantee YOU will also be around for another 100 years.

P.S. There is a disclaimer that says "We don't gaurantee what SHAPE you'll be in..but you'll still be here!"
