Paysites: How much content to start?
 

Hi, i'd like to hear your opinions about how many photo/video sets are the 'standard' to start a decent and nice site :)

Take whatever you think you need then double it.

need a shit load of content to run a successful paysite...better off promoting some sponsors mega site...

If it's your first, just go to the newsgroups and grab as much as possible. Fair use & public domain you know ...

I have legal licensed content, just want to know how much photo/video sets are good enough to start and make members happy. :winkwink:

depends on the member. the more content you have the more members you will make happy. your main goal should be how much content you should buy and MAKE THE MOST PROFIT

At least 10 videos and ten pic sets.

I would say the more the merrier but still, you gotta choose your pics. Use something that would catch attention. It usually works.

Well, you want rebills, so enough content that it takes a member a month to download it, and then weekly updates to keep them coming back for more.

THis answer to this also depends on what kind of site it will be. If it's a niche site you can do less because people don't expect as much. If you have exclusive stuff especially MPEG, you don't need as much either.

Make sure you have enough for at least a weekly update.

If it's a video site, no less than 20 MPEG scenes to start.

If it's a pic site then ALOT of pics. Thousands unless again, it's niche.

It's a good question... I have customers starting new affiliate programs and they start with 40 to 50 videos per url.

Also, they end up buying for more then one site...

Buy a lot of content bundles ... that's a lot of unexpensive content . Start with 5-10 exclusives

Yeah ... if your site is REALITY site, you can get away with 10 episodes and the accompanying pix. But you need to shoot a new episode every week or so which means you need to ADD 4 episodes per month.

8-10 video+ pics sets if exclusive and niche oriented or reality episodes. Otherwise, no less than 20k pics and a good bunch of vids, maybe some plugins. It all will cost you less than the 8-10 video+pics exclusive sets... unless you purchase the exclusive content at http://www.onlyex.com :winkwink:
