Pretty sad I can already predict the news.

1.) Fake bomb threats being called in.
2.) Columbine anny reviews on School policy ect ect ethitcs..
3.) The Nazi's and ADOF hitler
4.) How to prevent blah blah blah..

you should get your own 1-900 number -- "call meh now!'

Quit watching the news.

Here's the way it goes:

1. Bad news sells because people actually like to see misery because it makes them feel that their own lives aren't so bad. Misery loves company.

2. At the end of the broadcast you get the "boy scout saves cat from tree" story.

3. The weatherman is a complete idiot and should never have wasted his/her time even going to school.

They tell you what today's weather WAS, that you all know happened and now that they're batting 1000/ they give you tomorrow's guesstimate.

I really believe that Big Brother exists and is manipulating our lives.

I hear them knocking but I refuse to let them in.

I'll take the internet with all it's flaws hands down over mass media every day and every time.

well said Ian :)

I definitely agree with Ian. People prefer to hear the bad news so they will feel good with what they have.

i remember that day but for a different reason.

it was the summer of 1976. there was this guy in my high school. he was gorgeous, smart. he was voted junior class president. he would have been junior varsity quarterback. and most of all he was a decent fellow.

he was hit by a drunk driver and hospitalized in a vegetative coma.

he stayed that way for 23 years. then he died the same day as columbine.

I wonder who "ADOF" Hitler was.

Ian 04-20-2004 07:33 AM

I wonder how many people here don't read the newspaper or watch the news but get their news online. :winkwink:
