Yeah the american date system is pretty annoying. I guess it's stupid that there are 2 different systems, thats why changing between them is stupid because almost half of the time you can be wrong and it makes sense to read it both ways. Atleast with measurements there is a unit so it isn't possible to make misinterpret like the date.
