Few of you know Luke Ford as well as I know him. Few of you have known him as long as I've known him. And few of you truly understand his motivations the way I believe I understand them.

With that said, let me share with you my thoughts on Luke Ford's, aka Duke Floored's (his pseudonym at AdultBeat.com) sudden zeal as a reporter (sic) working the XXX Beat.

First, let me preface my opinions by informing you that I've known Luke since almost the first day he began writing about this business. I co-hosted an internet radio show with him. I've traveled to conventions with him, and I've interacted with him more often than the average porner. And since Ford's first day in XXX he has nearly always--NEARLY ALWAYS--taken great delight in posting stories that are critical... make that stories that SLAM this business and its people.

You might ask, "If you knew that, JimmyD, why did you hang out so much with this asshole?"

I can only answer by saying that, for a time, he served a purpose. And when he ceased to be of any use, I cut off communications with him.

Anyway, It's no coincidence that there are so few sets, so few companies, and so few people in this industry who welcome Ford amongst them.

Right now, I'm of the opinion that Ford is taking immense delight in the current HIV crisis. And if you've been reading his site, AdultBeat.com, you don't need to be a media critic to see the bias that exists in most everything he posts and/or reports.

So let me say this: Anyone who supports AdultBeat.com is supporting a site that does NOT hold the better interests of this industry and its people in any esteem. In fact, you're supporting a site that--through Ford's yellow journalism--is about as adult industry-friendly as your average Department of Justice attorney.

And don't just take my word for it. Consider the overwhleming majority of most everything Ford currently, and has ever, written about this industry.

Once you do that, I think you'll agree that AdultBeat.com is no friend to XXX, nor should you consider it a source for anything that resembles impartial reporting.

Luke Ford the Matt Drudge of Porn? I don't think so. How about Luke Ford the Rush Limbaugh of Porn... maybe.

There are a few types of journalists.

1 Type is a journalist that hahahahahas to kiss ass. (Boring and on "The Take" style.)

2 Type is a journalist that hahahahahas nothing but facts. ( Boring again lacking insite that occasionally censor anything of opinion.)

3 Type is a journalist filled with a questioning mind and regardless of "Authority".

I personally have always liked type 3 journalism its catchy, enraging and outright captivating.
In a candy coating industry Luke is a rare breed. VERY rare breed.
Thus it is easy to understand why Luke is an influencial hahahahahar in an industry full of fuck faces and crooks.
People love to hate em and really love em when he takes "Thier" side while at the same time fast to call eman ass hole when he changes his posture.

The guy is a chamelion of character and also why he is a well known industry hahahahahar.
People to understand Luke Ford you goto read em and understand what kind of person he is when ya know his position it is easy to take his writing for what it is and what its not.
Its Just like any journalist/columnist is and they tend to gather a readership following.

Luke Ford is an upstanding citizen. Thru reading his articles that I've learned who the real crooks in the porn business are and what pornstars were doing behind closed doors. God bless Mr Ford for educating me:thumbsup

I for one applaud Mr. Ford for is investigations. Lots of other so called journalists in this business just want to party and live the lifestyle of a pornster. I get nada from them. If you want to read the good stuff, read Mr. Ford's article.

im not sure when i read it but i used to enjoy reading his site on a daily basis back in the day. i stopped the first time he quit and sold lukeford.com. i heard he got back into writing about the adult industry but i haven't read anything by him in a long time. luke is a good journalist. he is not here to make the industry look good or to kiss ass. just like regular journalism, lukes centers on scandle, bad news.
