100 US Soldiers have died in Iraq this month.
 

Very interesting this whole thing is. We seem to be on the verge of finally going into Fallujah full strength. There's obviously no doubt that we have the most kickass military in the world and that they'll win this fight but at what cost to both sides.

Too many civilian casualties can be a nightmare of a situation for us and you can't fight this hardcore urban war like we need to without killing some civilians especially when the people you're fighting are hiding behind them.

So 100 soldiers have died, been killed or whatever you want to call it in Iraq so far this month and I wonder if this isn't going to get worse.

It's urban warfare on their turf going against a guerilla enemy that meshes with the civilian population and has 1000s of places to hide. That is a tough, sticky situation, but I think if you put any other country's military in that same situation and their casualties would be in the 1000s. Not 100. But I think it will probably get worse before it gets better, unfortunately.

Yeah, even though we don't negotiate with terrorists. What a bunch of bullshit. The truth is they realize that they will have to kill a lot of civilians to pull this one off and that could be real ugly and turn a lot more Iraqis against us.

It sucks but if you want to clear those fuckers in there out you're going to have to kill some civilians. I don't like to see the civilians die but we're fucked either way we go on this one.

Lets hope the fighting ends soon/ doesn't become drawn out and a plan for peace is implemented. The planet doesn't need another palestine with revenge killings going on for the next 50 years.

The insurgents wouldn't let any civilians leave town. Civilians are their only means of protection and ,believe it or not, the insurgents want Iraqi civilians to get killed. Otherwise, they wouldn't have as much support as they do.

Oh I know that they wouldn't let them but it would be our best shot of at least letting the innocents know we are going in. Also it would show that the US is compasionate. I just want this bullshit over because it is bullshit.
