My opinions on the LA HIV ordeal
Ok so sitting here looking at lots of beautiful girls as I sort through our content to work on tours and other things I see pretty faces and I wonder does that chick have HIV?
Alot of people are taking this lightly like it has no affect on them what so ever, and that is just not the case.. I think it's really sad that theres so many people that are at risk in our industry... These people are now thinking to themselves that they are going to die sooner than nature had intended.. The spider effect this virus has on population is incredible, they say something like 2 in 1000 people has HIV (might be less), and 1 of those people does not even know it yet, and they continue to go on unprotected spreading the virus to others to further spread the virus. I extend my sympathies for those who come out of this with the worst news. These people who are getting positive test results need support, and not trolls and people making fun or clowning their situation.. I respect those companies who have cut production and have stepped up efforts to track down the line who is at risk. Ok.. anyways, think I'm an ass or troll on my thread, but I just wanted to say my thoughts on this.. I can't help but think about it when I look at these guys and girls in our content.. |
i agree with you on many points and if there is a positive spin to this it is that people will start to understand that good looks does not mean clean and that condoms are a must.
I think girls are as much at fault for not using condoms as men are. |
I wonder what would happen if the government made something like an anonymous HIV/AIDS test mandatory every XX months/year(s)
Yeah, it might be a pain to enforce it... but they enforce taxes w/o hesitation... Would you guys be opposed to something like this? |
We put condoms on dildos when shooting lez stuff ... I know it's a bit excessive but I bet one human tragedy is much more excessive regardless of viewpoint.
In this case we have two ... all of you Lara sympathizers comdemn Darrell while I think he's a victim too. I don't he got to Brazil or wherever he got with the clear intention to spread it like a forest fire through the industry. I can certainly understand him hiding while the dust settles. |

It would come down to being a violation of peoples rights to enforce something like this. But then again it's attempted manslaughter hypothetically to go around fucking people when you have HIV without protecting yourself or others.. In the club you could say to a girl or guy "show me your hiv card!" would save alot of trouble... I would go monthly for a test if I was still in the dating scene and had not been married for almost 4 years... I used to get tests every 6 months when I was still on the market.. |
It's good to know of your great concern about the people in the industry. Indeed, something must be done before it becomes worse. This is really a serious matter.

Some people may say "I don't need to protect myself with this person"..... But you might want to protect their health!!!! Protect them from yourself and what you don't know you may have contracted.. You can't think about yourself only during sex, it's a mutual trust. Traveling to another country, having unprotected sex, and coming back and bringing a virus to the people you work with is pretty shitty.. He's gonna pay for his actions with his life, and so are many others.. It's truely sad that in this day with so much knowledge on this issue people continue to make foolish decissions. |
It's only about 45,000 new cases of AIDS every year and 35,000 of HIV that is roughly 2/1000 of 1%. AIDS and HIV in civilized nations is still predominatly a gay disease and mostly still transmitted through anal sex.
So I'm not worried about getting it and it's not a major crisis except in places like Africa where they don't have the education to prevent it. The majority of the cases of HIV/AIDS here in the US people get as a result of their own irresponsible actions. You're more likely to die in a car crash, or from the flu and much more likely to have either happen to you and it not be your own fault. |
It's a shame that a model spread this but we have to look at it rationally. He was an experienced model working in a risky country without a condom. He then came back here and started working with girls here. Maybe he is the real culprit.
But as you said lets get this into persective, you are more likely to have a car accident than catch AIDS, especially if you drive at night after drinking. Do any of you woryy about fishermen dying when you eat cod? Look at their death rate and ask yourslef if it's worth it. As for the reaction here, this is GFY and as a partner of one of the biggest trouble makeres, mouths on the boards I think people in glass houses should not throw sticks. |
