Senate Bill proposed to outlaw SPYWARE
Interesting debate on blocking spyware.
Ban the behavior vs. ban the software 'type' Senate, being myopic as usual, opts for the latter. http://www.infoworld.com/article/04/...spyware_1.html At its current form, it does nothing against the best way to get "free" traffic--Active X-based hijackers and bs toolbars and other tools. |
Since Active-X app-derived traffic is one of the bigger trends in the industry right now, this Senate bill should have webmasters' interest piqued.
If anything, is there much legal traction to the "TOS" most spyware/scumware use? |
You are fast.. just wanted to post that :)

I hope they hang the spyware people out to dry. I am sick of unistalling shit from the kids computers, not to mention the FUCKING one on MY PC that I can't get rid of at all!
Not even surfing and popup ads for tickle and other bullshit. :321GFY |

Ad-Aware & SpyBot both couldn't remove it. |

That's an interesting matter, also if it will be difficult to see spywares out of the market
