Mr Pheer 04-18-2004 07:22 PM

I have bad habits that might influence the jury's decisions. :fart

Lonny 04-18-2004 07:30 PM

I get one about every 3-6moths and have been since I was 18, I just toss them in the trash.

LittleMack 04-18-2004 07:31 PM

Been there 3 times in 6 years, getting old, never been seated..

riosluts 04-18-2004 07:32 PM

just make up some excuse that you cant go because u got a killer headache or something

crockett 04-18-2004 07:40 PM

you guys all suck, complaining about jury duty.. You should feel lucky you have the right for a trial by jury. Half you you fucks complain about the way this country is headed and it's your own fault. You guys wanna have all the freedoms but don't want to do anything for them.

I've been summoned one time and I went and didn't get picked. Maybe one day if your in court because the govt is out to get you, maybe you would like a decent jury to judge you. Remember what goes around comes around.

baddog 04-18-2004 07:46 PM

I have served several times when I was employed by a company that paid full wages for jury time.

I liked it, but I enjoy participating in and learning the legal process.

sumphatpimp 04-18-2004 07:54 PM

now that makes me wonder...............

would I want a jury composed of the dimwits on GFY to be on a jury, if I were the defendent?

yeah , right.

I would hang myself in my cell before hand.

Put it this way, after my time serving on varous juries I have come up with the following policy:

If I am guilty - go with the jury trial.
If I am innocent - let the judge rule on the case.\

It has kept me out of jail so far.

crockett 04-18-2004 08:13 PM

when I had my jury duty, the 1st guy that got questioned told the judge he was racist, trying to get out of jury duty.. LOL was funny as hell, the judge gave him the riot act and a 10 min lecture on how he should be proud to serve in his court room and he didn't dismiss him, made him stay to entire day and come back the next.

Was funny because noone else tryed to come up with a lame excuse.. everyone was like yes sir, no sir.. a smart judge.

Viper2K1 04-18-2004 08:19 PM

when the defendant enters the court, just stand up and yell "he's so f*cking guilty !!!"

then you'll get out because you can't give the guy a fair trial

Joetanto 04-18-2004 08:20 PM

never got the pleasure yet

init 04-18-2004 08:34 PM

i wonder if telling them i think the law sucks and i have no faith in it, and i hate police will persuade them in not picking me :1orglaugh

Illicit 04-18-2004 08:36 PM

Ive had it a few times... only had to be on a jury once... I made everyone let the guy off... it was a funny case, these kids stole their teachers car twice in one day. the police returned it to her the first time and they went back and stole it again. lol

they had no proof though, just some cop saying they did it.

AMADude 04-18-2004 08:53 PM

I got mine, gotta go in May.
:(

Phil 04-18-2004 09:12 PM

dude, you're about to make $6.00 ...

Stuntpig 04-18-2004 09:38 PM

I got jury duty in Brooklyn about a year ago.

I went for the three days, but never got picked to serve on a jury.
Perhaps the stained clothes, the magazines about guns and Harleys and the Skoal baseball cap had an undesirable effect on the attorneys.
I suppose Ill never really know...

Nope havent yet.. keeping my fingers crossed (NOT)

The Alibi 04-18-2004 11:48 PM

Don't worry about it, I think one of the prerequisites for serving on a jury is actually being able to spell "jury".

No, I'm not

I was never a registered voter until this year, but I've been sent a jury summons before. If you have a drivers license with your address on it, you can be sent a summons.

rip raster 04-19-2004 01:18 AM

Just tell them that you'd make the perfect juror because you can tell if someone is guilty or innocent just by looking at them

Every time I get one of those nice letters I send them a nice letter telling them I work in porn and I take pictures and video of naked women.

They've never written me back.
