Ya, I find it interesting that so many people are concerned with starving children in some other country when there is so many in your own country in the same situation. Who knows where the money goes anyway...

I think you need to reread his statement again...he didn't say anything about bums...there are plenty of starving children in America...it's worse than most people know or understand.

Wife sponsors a little girl in South America. We dont miss the $$ and it makes wifey feel good, so It's money well spent :)

I gotta say (this in my feelings, not wifeys) that it pisses me off that the charity that we give the money too sends a thankyou letter to us from the girl we sponsor every 3 months.

I called them and said, just spend all the money we donate to the girl - dont spend it on sending us any cards or letters.

Fuck me, what it costs to print those thankyous, and photos that they send us, will put the kid through college. PLEASE DONT SEND THEM.

Now the fuckers started calling both myself and my wife on our mobiles about once a month each, and asking for more $$. Been going on for a year. I have TOLD then every time thy call - NO I AM NOT GIVING YOU ANY MORE MONEY, STOP WASTING MY DONATIONS CALLING ME ON MY AND MY WIFES MOBILE - You are not getting any more $$.

So I think that the girl we sponsor, with all the letters and printed thankyous and photos, along with all the photos probably gets a $! a year from us.

I been trying to get the address of the girl my wife sponsors address so I can send $$ direct to her, in the post, so these FUCKING CHARITIES dont spend more than we donate thanking us for our fucking donation

They come right out and say they have been helping children for 25 + years... I would think after that long they should have a lot of the problems solved. But they keep showing all the kids living on the edge of a garbage dump... If you want to help a kid look locally... There are a lot of them that could benefit from your kindness and you'll see the results of you efforts first hand.

One of the main reasons there is so much starvation in Africa is because the families don't know what birth control is.

They have 5,6,7 if not more children. Of course there will be problems with that many people.

The thing with sponsoring kids in these third world countries is... you probably just give them just enough to get by and survive...and then what, they have 5 kids of their own and continue the cycle... it will never end. It's going to take more then 50 cents a day :)
