Yeah I have them in my reef tanks, it is a trip to watch them grab new shells leaving the old ones behind so they can grow.

Unfortunately I used to date many women who were infested with Hermit crabs and I have the scars to prove it.

Funny how they start out fairly small and trade in their "houses" for larger and larger shells.

I used to have lots of these when I was younger. We caught some up north of Australia once too. They are pretty cool little creatures.

Those are cute! When I was younger, during my New Brunswick trips, I use to built rings for those little gladiators...In french we call them "Bernard l'Hermite" , its not a crab..

when it grows, it comes out of its shell and finds an other one bigger. Its not attached to it.
