Funny thing is I have a friend who was talking to a recruiter at Halliburton about this. Its supposedly a 1500 mile route through Kuwait, Afghanistan, and Iraq. Deliverying supplies in a convoy with a military escort. H1's with 50 caliber leading and following.

depends on the job... quite a few companies make you work a few weeks on then you get a few weeks off, you end up working somewhere over 30 weeks a year... i dont remember exact figures because its been a long time since i considered the job but you get the idea

If they let you arm yourself I think a paid trip to Iraq would be fun. Now if you had to sign a contract that says you can't leave when you want or you forfeit some money then I might not be into that.

Shoot...I went to three conflicts while I was in the Army and got paid a measly 1400.00 per month base pay. Once they threw in the jump pay and hazard duty pay, I was over 1700.00 per month...lol

For a 100k, sure I would do it. The problem is I make well more than 100k per year sitting in my office.

If I was only making 40k-50k, sure I would do it. Nothing like a good adrenaline rush....lol

ha, you can do better than that by going to one of those companies that the government outsource military jobs to. I believe they pay you $500/day to secure convoys and stuff. In short, you'll be a well paid mercenary.

Ask Halliburton, they got plenty of jobs available for Iraq. They'll pay you way more for other kind of jobs. I think $80k/year is the minimum.

Some of the civilian guards that are ex-military are getting paid up to $1k a day.
