Holy Shit - WTF? Armed Air Force F-15's Flying Low Over South Florida
 

Anyone hear anything on the news right now? Just saw 2 Air Force F-15's heading north flying fast and low over South Florida. And they were fully armed.

I've been down here for 10 years and I've never seen any military jets fly fast and low directly over populated land areas, especially armed with missles.

Their jet engines were so loud I thought a plane was crashing when they blew overhead.

At any given time 30 eagle drivers are in the air for homeland defence.

f15's on the coast, f16's interior.

Those are 2 different planes.

I think there is always some planes flying for defence all over the states ... It would be funny if there was a new terrorist attack and thoses jets u just seen stoped it or something :P

4 aim 9's and 2 aim7's.. they did not have a ga loadout over florida.

If they are carrying a load they are headed to Tampa. That is where they are based. They do rotation in Homestead.

Nothing to worry about. Now if you hear them going south, then you may want to kiss your ass good bye.


The 4 birds that are in south fl. are for cuba. Just incase they start throwing rocks or something.

Just to illustrate the formation. It was just odd they were flying so low. If they took off from Homestead the flight pattern to Eglin doesn't include flying over Palm Beach.

Isnt' the Air and Sea show on Ft. Lauderdale beach soon? They just had it here in Tampa. I live about 2 miles from MacDill A.F.B. and they were all over the place. :thumbsup

Are you sure they were F-15s or were they F14 Tomcats? They look very similar and can be confused when seeing them from a distance. If they were painted yellow and blue - The Navy Blue Angels. :thumbsup

Chill. This happens every 2 hours here in Dayton.
In fact i hear one right now.
Next time I catch them ill snap a few pictures, but usually
its 4 or 5 flying in formation. its pretty sweet. but normal here.

I had the awsome opertunity to see two jets chase a prop plane out of a no fly zone righ over top of Home Depot when bush visited. Armed to the teeeeeeeth. scary.

First, how do you know they were armed? Were they armed with missles, instrument pods, of external fuel tanks.

Also, what's so odd about our planes being armed? I used to ride around in helios all the time armed to the hilt.

We live outside of an AFB also here in Phoenix. We aren't in their flight pattern, but every now and then they buzz our house. No big deal; Kind of tunrs me on.
