Even if the UN was there it wouldn't do nothing. It's all a big plot of many religions / cultures that were dominated for so long and now they all want a peice of the power.

Putting a democracy up wouldn't work either since there is gonna be a religion that will have the majority of the votes and that will own all the other ones (wich will do the same thing that saddam did) .
