Tarantino Planning a Third 'Kill Bill'

"Kill Bill Vol. 2" isn't even in theaters yet, but Quentin Tarantino says he's already planning volume three.

"Oh yeah, initially I was thinking this would be my 'Dollars' trilogy. I was going to do a new one every 10 years. But I need at least 15 years before I do this again," the director tells Entertainment Weekly magazine in its April 16 issue.

Tarantino says Uma Thurman, who plays a bride out for revenge in the series that began last year, won't be the star.

"The star will be Vernita Green's (Vivica A. Fox's) daughter, Nikki (Ambrosia Kelley). I've already got the whole mythology: Sofie Fatale (Julie Dreyfus) will get all of Bill's money. She'll raise Nikki, who'll take on The Bride," he says. "Nikki deserves her revenge every bit as much as The Bride deserved hers. I might even shoot a couple of scenes for it now so I can get the actresses while they're this age."

"Kill Bill Vol. 2," co-starring David Carradine, Michael Madsen and Daryl Hannah, opens April 16.

Well since Kill Bill was original planned as a Trilogy - a third movie doesn't come as a huge surprise :1orglaugh

as far as i know it wasnt planned as a trilogy. he filmed the movie, it ran too long so he split it up into two parts.

I've seen the first one a few times already. I've been dying for the second to come out. Less than 24 hours away..WOOHOO!

Just watched the first one. Wow. Some good fighting scenes but gets a little bit ridiculous towards the end. Uma Thurman looked better than ever though. If looks could kill, she wouldn't need that killer Japanese sword :Graucho

What are you talking about? All the stuff they mention in the article happened in Kill Bill Vol. 1.. like The Bride killing Vernita Green in front of the little girl that is her daughter. The Bride even says to the little girl that if she has a problem with what happened when she gets older, that she will be waiting.

.. as for Sophie Fatale... thats the woman The Bride went and chopped the arm off of and left alive to tell Bill what happened in Tokyo. Obviously it makes sense that she would feel she has a little bit of a score to settle.

About the only thing they "gave away" was that The Bride does infact Kill Bill.. which, really isn't a shocker. ;)

Kill Bill rocks !! I just hope he won't screw the whole thing up with a third volume ...

sumz 04-16-2004 04:37 AM

Great news!
I loved the first one and canīt wait to see the second.
I just hope they are as good as the first one.
