I'm sorry but I disagree. If you have a decent digital camera, a decent looking girl, and decent lighting and half a mind for framing images, you can produce content that will sell and look as good as just about anything you see already.

And so can every other idiot and before you know it the market is flooded with it. If it's not already flooded with half assed attempts at being a pornographer. It's not that it's not required it's that it's over supplied.

As for letting people post their own images to a site, a really great suggestion.

Also get them to supply a model release, waiver for you to post the pictures on the Internet and two forms of legal ID with the model holding them before the pictures were taken.

That or live in fear the model was over 18 and agreed to the pictures being on the Internet and does not have access to a lawyer who will sue you. Or an uncle who is a policeman.

And as for the content market being in trouble, it's not. What's happened is professionals have come in selling good quality, the surfer is starting to realise what's available out there and the sites delivering it are still making good money.

Yes some are buying blow outs, but if it's being blown out it was not selling in the first place, the profit on Internet content is very nice thank you. Is the Internet as a whole suffering, are less surfers spending money? That's what will hit hit the good content market.

You sell something any clown can produce you are in with the herd, you sell something that few can produce the demand is greater. Simple marketing.

If you give someone a photoshop (make it PS8 even), you want make him an designer of amateur sites, right?

By the same token, it takes a photographer and some know-how of the equipment to make good porn. If you've tried shooting it yourself without lights - even with a good camcorder, you'd know the difference.

Oh, another example ... give someone plenty of hosting and ask him to make an "amateur" TGP. Then pin him against Juicy.
