This is not something you do part time while earning beer money to get through college...the stuff you are doing now can and will come back to haunt you at some point in your life.

When you least expect it...it could be during a background check for a job...it could be while you're running for president of your kids local PTA...or your loca city council.

There are implications...complications and repercussions when working in this industry.

I'm 37...I'm not a corporate kind of guy....if you plan on being a "respectable member" of society...and moving onto a "real job," shut down now and go study.

Good advice, but I dont think many newbies and/or part timers will understand what you mean. They only see the "easy" money and never think of the consequences.

I agree...there is no easy money...this at times is one of the hardest jobs I've ever had. But I like the work..I like the people I've come to know and work with.

Good warning, too many stupid people do not realize once your name is out there you can not get it back... you are forever marked as a porn dude, which I think will restrict you in most public instances.

right..or when they take their degrees and go to work for companies who have big government contracts and they do extensive background checks on the employees...this will show up.

I think that most of the part timers/newbies are students, and they dont really need to live of this business. And since it is relatively easy to make 1k a month, thats a lot of money when you dont need to feed kids/buy a house/etc.

And most of the part timers/newbies I know, are in doing this because they think its cool, and they have never ever thought about any of the consequences.

I don't completly agree with all you people.

As long as you are not aplying for a high security job or a job where they need an advanced background check you should be fine.

Or a job where you will be working in the public eye, it shouldn't be a problem.

People with criminal records are forgiven all the time and have good jobs. Murderers can have jobs. So somebody running a website can also.

I think the damage part is most likely true, and will haunt somebody who wants to work in the public eye or politics, but it won't hurt and electrical engineer or a reasercher for a private company, you know what I mean.

Just don't go into politics and you should be fine.

I look at it in another way.. to me the prudes and uptight people of the world are the ones that are not accepted by me. What we do is perfectly legal and perfectly acceptable to a rational person.. if a person isn't rational.. then they are unnaceptable to me. I'm proud of what I do.. I've told everyone I know, parents, family, friends, everyone. One thing I do worry about though is if my kids school got wind of what I do. It wouldn't be a pretty fight.. and would take away from my work time, but I can promise you, I would fight them if I had to..
