No more drivers license for SIX MONTHS
 

That's right. I got a 3 year jail sentence + 2 years no license after that down to 6 months without a license and a $995 fine. No jail, no probation, none of that.

All in all today was a good day but it sucks not having a license for the next 6 months.

Usually they almost ALWAYS want to throw in some probation to milk a little extra cash out of you.

If I had my driving licenses revoked for six months I'd drive without licenses definitely and buy a shitty 500$ car.

2 ounces of marijuana in a school zone. I royally fucked myself by admitting I'd sold some to a friend a few weeks ago.

Part of it had to do with the fact that they had no (good) probable cause. The rest was pure luck. I SHOULD be in prison right now.

And let me clarify before you start the argument and denial. When it causes problems in your life like this, you DO have a problem with it.

Haven't smoked any in almost a year. That's how long the case took. They really just wanted to bust some other guy who got in my car. He dumped what he had on my seat so they searched my car and found my well concealed stash after an hour of looking.

Miracle. We think they made a mistake. My attorney manipulated the situation and sealed the case up with whatever we could get so they can't pull a double jeopardy.

I got a friend in the same situation but he's getting 1 year cut down to 4 months for an ounce and intent to sell.

That's really not bad. In NJ the mandatory minimum sentence I could have gotten for intent to sell in a school zone on a first offense is 3 years. They start the sentence at 4 but they don't lower it more than 3.
