Whats a good server based log /stats thingy?
 

What do you guys use? I am looking for a variety of different solutions

also setup log rotation or your going to slow down your server big time trying to analyze huge log files.

I used Urchin in the past. Didnt like it. Yeah i know about the log rotation I learned the hard way 2 years ago :(

I just got AWStats setup with log rotation and I like it alot better then Webalizer or Urchin.

Seems pretty good so far as well BT, I just set it up on 120 + domains so it better keep working good...lol cause that took some time :)

Also This might be a good thread to ask if anyone knows of a plugin for AWStats that would give me a quick view of my traffic on all of my domains. I want it to be somewhat like PayCounter where I can login, see my daily uniques for all domains and then click into see the detailed stats for each domain if I want. Any ideas?

AWStats. hands down. i've had webalizer and analog in the past. AW gives ya more use full info and also more DETAILED info if you choose to go looking through it than anything else. individual page hits. refering URLs. browsers. etc. etc. a stats junkies dream ...

Why do people use Urchin. It's probably the most useless piece of software I've ever used.

I prefer Analog personally, but it takes a lot of TLC to get it setup just the way you want it. There are some great plugins for it for customization though.

i use webalizer

Urchin > Awstats > Webalizer > Mkstats

i always liked wusage, gives more info than webalizer. i've never used AWstats so i don't know how it compares to that program.

i use urchin, not bad, but im not completely happy with it
