Fucking mexican banks
 

I can't deposit USA cheques into my account.

I have to go to the states or a bank in the border (it is about 3 hrs from here) and cash the cheques there. It is becoming a real pain.

Any webmasters in Mexico?

A friend of mine is going to the US tomorrow, do you guys know if he could cash it for me? how can I endorse the cheques?

I was thinking to give him a copy of my passport and ID.

banks wont cash your checks unless they know you *really* well or you have an account with them because of liability and credit issues.

I have everything in my boyfriends name and everything is sent to his parents and deposited. I live off a debit card here. Do you have family in the US that could help you out? Where are you? Im in Cancun.

I'm in Hermosillo, Sonora.

We are headed to Rosarito beach on the baja pen next month,. We are moving there. Just search for a town that you are interested in, and start reading, That is what we did. Keep in mind that little issues like this one may make you want to stay near the border.

If you are a US citizen, then you are ok, if you are not you will need at least an FM3 visa. Just do a lot of reading. keep my nic and I will pass any info that I can to help you.

I used MONEX to cash my checks. Then I deposited the money into my bank account... right now I get my payments through paypal and transfer them into a savings account in the USA.

I reccomend MONEX, they're one of the leading financial groups in Mexico and will give you a fair coversion rate. I checked out their website (only in spanish, sorry) and noticed they're also located in Hermosillo. This is the address:

About Monex, talk with one of their representatives. They'll open a account for you. To do that, you'll have to submit an ID (passport).

The advantage of having an account is that you can call them on the phone and tell them you want to cash a few checks. You tell them how much they're worth.. and they'll do the transaction right away, making it possible for you to pick up the money in 30 minutes.

Why don't you just open up a US bank account at the border?

I pick up my sponsor checks every month, easy as pie.

If you don't make enough to make it worth the trip, then go every 3 months, or have the checks sent to your mail teller at the US bank. Call a few banks and ask them, I am sure they will help.

Also, having your checks sent to Mexico is prolly not a very good idea, as you prolly know, Mexican Mail sucks big donkey dicks.
