I've read Jesse Ventura's book "Ain't got time to bleed - reworking the body politic from the bottom up"

I think people would be surprised on his views, to doing away with big government, to getting the government out of your life, refunds for budget surpluses and he also tells how hard it is to become elected into a position in this country without being a member of the big parties.

I know people have mentioned his movies, he also was a Navy Seal who served in Vietnam, this is where he got the "body" that latar became his nickname in wrestling.

Jesus I think we've all seen worse candidates, and this guy has actually seen war, and didn't sculk off to Canada, I would give him my vote.

Ventura is a very much "live and let live" type of guy, he wouldn't be going after obscenity charges like bush wants to, unless in extreme cases. And maybe he could get rid of some of the bullshit financial crap the gubment does.

Also, the year he was elected here (99?), he seriously revitalized public involvement in politics. 20somethings that had never even considered voting before, did so for the first time. Anyone that can get public involvement to reverse the trend of er.. noninvolvement can only be a damned good thing. For this country to turn itself around, your average person will have to care. Currently hardly anyone does.
