Just eat a couple and you'll be flying high from the sugar rush you won't need any more for a few hours.

If it's just a few blocks away, that's as long as you'll be able to stay away.

someone needs to repost the pic of those krispy kreme callender girls.

DVTimes 04-15-2004 09:23 AM

They have started to open in the UK.

Mutt 04-15-2004 09:23 AM

i think KrispyKreme is overrated. There is such a thing as too sweet. Makes me nauseous. One is fine - more than one and I want to vomit.

sell your car - walking will get old real fast

or if walking doesnt get old - at least you won't gain weight - walking will knock off the extra calories...

erehwon 04-15-2004 09:25 AM

Krispy Kreme, the offical donut of government contractors the world over. :thumbsup

They are evil, I once DHL'd two dozen to a friend in South Africa so she could see what the big deal was, now that Krispy Kreme are in London, whenever she's there for business, she can't leave the country without stopping in for a dozen original recipe donuts.

But getting back to the task at hand, go in your local store, look interested, get the free sample, and order two dozen and take them to work, after eating about 3-5 of them a day for a few days running you should slowly get tired of them enough to stop eating them.

The urge will be there for a quick fix, I live close to two, one is walking distance from my nephew's place, sure the mouth will water a bit, but I try to only eat them on special occasions or when training a new group of contractors.

Vanilla DeVille 04-15-2004 09:35 AM

I ate four in a row and got sick as a dog... haven't been there since.

Nysus 04-15-2004 09:37 AM

Make sure you only buy a box when you have at least 6 other people with you. 2 is plenty to make you feel just a little better than sick. :)

Cheers,
Matt

Krispy Kreme is taking over the world and all those who protect freedom should be made aware of this global situation.

jhauser 04-15-2004 10:08 AM

Just eat them til you get ill. Once you over dose on them you wont want them anymore.

Walk there and home and you'll burn enough calories to be able to enjoy a doughnut or two. If not, jog.

They are Highly over rated as far as I am Concerned. So many people were raving about it, that when I tried it it was a total letdown :winkwink:

maxdaname 04-15-2004 12:10 PM

Krispy Kream is pretty far from my house, so I'm safe from fatness:thumbsup

cayne 04-15-2004 12:40 PM

RedMonkey 04-15-2004 12:42 PM

spentrent 04-15-2004 01:03 PM

I lived down the street from Krispy Kreme for three years. I now weigh 40 pounds more than I did before I lived there. If it wasn't for the diabetes, I wouldn't change a thing! -- Owen, satisfied KK customer!

Materialist 04-15-2004 01:06 PM

I haven't had a Krispy Kreme donut in a while.

Um, I burn 600 calories when I run at 6mph on the treadmill for 50 minutes. So I *highly* doubt a 5 minute stroll outside will burn as much as a donut. But enjoy your fantasy. :)

Ic3m4nZ 04-15-2004 08:28 PM

If you always see big line-ups there it's because a lot of people only go there only to get free donuts when you enter.
