its that bad here too though. 405 freeway can put you in traffic for 2 hours to get from the valley to LAX.

la is horrible, we used to live 16 miles from the beach and occasionally it would take upwards of 2 hours to get there

It's no better here. A trip from Manchester to Liverpool can take upwards of 2 1/2 hours if you're unlucky. And it's little more than 25 miles, perhaps about 30-35.

To make the journey, it's necessary to use the M60 and M62.

Enter the M60 at 8am. It can take almost an hour to get onto the M62. Back when the M60 was being constructed, the company responsible for it spent millions bringing in engineers/architects etc from the USA and Germany. Those people recommended that the M60 be made extra wide to handle high volumes of traffic in the future. So what did they do? Made it narrow to save money. Now it can take 1 hour in the morning to drive 2-3 miles.

Onto the M62. It's fine... until you get near the end. Some fucking MORONS have put up a speed camera, which is ok... but they also put up a small speed limit sign that says "40" (meaning that the speed limit is 40 once you GET OFF the motorway, about 1 mile away). And they had the genius to put that sign up about 5 metres BEFORE the speed camera. Of course the camera isn't triggered unless you go above 70. Naturally though, people see the sign, then see the bright yellow camera, think they're going to get busted for going above 40, and brake. It wouldn't be too bad, except that the sign is so small, you can't see it until you're practically on top of it. So people don't only brake... they slam their brakes on like a motherfucker, which causes HUGE tailbacks. That said, it can take 60-70 minutes just to get off the fucking motorway. It was NEVER like that before they put that particular sign & camera up. NEVER.

Of all the stupid fucking shit I've ever seen, that ranks right at the top.
