If so an email threatening a charge back should bring him around.

I didn't buy from him. Some of his work is rumored to have been used on a site I own and I am trying to verify that rumor.

And I have sent numorous e-mails to the addy on his site with no reply.

I thought he dropped out of sight several months ago when Acacia got his site closed down. I remember some scandal shortly after that but with the search function not working I can't refresh my memory.. Good Luck Dude

I don't know what to believe anymore. I heard today that the FBI was after him and someone had firebombed his home in Vegas, so nothing is out of the question at this point.

I may owe him money, and believe it or not I am actually trying to compensate him for some of his work that I did not know was (or could be) his.

very admirable of you.. I appreciate people that stand up and pay what they owe. But, don't spend so much time trying to track him down that it ends up costing you more than what you owe him. Be sure to save all contacts that you have initiated for future reference if he ever comes back to try to say that you were infringing. I would also make a screenshot of this particular thread with the date highlighted just to show that you made a public attempt at contact as well.
