Regarding Post Count for Miss GFY Competition

Since it seems so many people are relying on post count for their "vote", what would be most important to you regarding post count?

Babel 04-14-2004 11:30 AM

If she never post and is not very well known from big programs (Like Teen Kelly for instance) not many sufers are gonna know who she is and that will play against her

IMO...If they have not been an active member for at least 1 year then they should not qualify.

Postcount means nothing.

Surfers are not voting, nor are a majority of the people on the board. As I understood it and unless I missed an update, only prize contributors of a certain monetary value are allowed to vote.

ArikaAmes 04-14-2004 11:37 AM

Thank you for your input.
I was just reading some posts where people were all about the post count and such, so I was curious.
For example, I read the board everyday, numerous times a day...
but I would rather not post at all, than post something irrelevant or spammy.:2 cents:

=^..^= 04-14-2004 11:38 AM

anyone can get a high post count fast
like Aaron said - post count alone means nothing

if entrants are allwoed to vote - I will be voting for someone who's been here a long time and whom I feel represents the true spirit of gfy.
a smart chick with a "take no prisoners" attitude

It means nothing? You mean my 1337 postcount a few days ago was all for naught? *pout* And here I thought I was special...

:winkwink:

I agree, but every thread that I've read today on the topic was relating to post count, post count, post count.
That's the only reason why I made the poll, was to get an idea of what some of the judges would be looking for in post count quality.

For example there are newer models on the board that are posting :winkwink: :1orglaugh :thumbsup :feels-hot :warning , thereby raising their post count, but not necessarily contributing to the quality or context of the thread.

So does this mean you're coming to town for the dinner on the 21st?

ArikaAmes 04-14-2004 11:51 AM

Can a sister get some live feeds or pics from the bus??:Graucho

This is one of the reasons why I didnt enter .. I feel that even if they did make a post count requirement there'd be tons of girls (or webmasters prentending to be girls) posting non-sense to up their count .. I think the active member date is a much better way to judge a 'true' gfy member .. but I'm sure Lens wanted to get as many people in the contest as he could :)

Joesho 04-14-2004 11:57 AM

I think participation should be relevent from the start of the listing of the contest on....

we should encourage and welcome the new participants...:2 cents:

Firehorse 04-14-2004 11:59 AM

Post count should have very little to do with it. :2 cents:

I think that was very well stated.
Do you know what I mean though??
Like I'll be honest I am a "newbie", but I started in like October of 2003. I have read the board since like November, but all of the bad-mouthing on the board kind of intimidated me at first. I have become more comfortable posting, but at first it seemed like a risk.:)

I didn't register till Jan. 2004.
I read a whole lot more than I post.
Just curious as to what other people thought.

...resisting the natural urge to say this thread is useless without pics...

I have a paysite, and also help a little with twisteddollar.
I also do some mainstream sites as well.

I love it. I still have a full time job and go to school full time. I stay busy, but my internet business is my fun yet very important business.

Aww thank you ..

I've gone back and forth about entering .. but I decided I could do without the drama this contest is stirring up. I mean its only the entry phase .. and there are tons of threads with girls trying to get attetion, and webmasters asking who everyhahahaha is going to vote for. Plus I dont have much time to dedicate to the challenges, I've got tons of projects to work on
:winkwink:

I agree...it is miss GFY after all.

Sorry, but an Australian isn't going to win Miss USA. You kinda gotta belong to the place you're trying to win at.

mary34d 04-14-2004 12:30 PM

I posted something like this a while ago....

post count is a good way to judge but then again if you see mine it's pretty low (since i usually do post on "would u hit")

but i won best tits on the porn cruise for the IA2000 in 1999 and also am "well" known at the shows. (since i've been at every internext/ia2000 since 1999.

Gemini 04-14-2004 12:38 PM

Prisoners.... PRISONERS???

WHO is taking prisoners again?! Softie! Off with their heads! Lower one first! Rusty axe and dull that puppy! :winkwink:
