i agree that the U.S is looking more and more like a police state.. it's a reality that america has ignored for a long time - it's hard to be a large powerful and democratic nation.. democracy doesn't really seem to work very well. it's unstable and inefficient. i think america will opt for a "choose your dictator" style of government sometime in the future.
