E-PassPorte Reps please read
Is there anyway to get an E-PassPorte account without a setup fee?
PayPal offers competitive merchant rates if you received a better offer elsewhere.. I think EPassporte should honor business and provide some of them with free accounts. Please contact me ICQ 4930562 If you can arrange this -- will bring you more business as have many people who need to use EPassPorte for payments |
They make ya pay and you gotta send a wire transfer which costs $$$ for some not in the USA.
it's for fraud reasons they say, which is a good thing. |
Epasseport is way safer then paypal . If you can't afford 100 $ then you don't deserve to have an account .
|
epassporte would be great if you could withdraw money to your bank account...

Zagi,
I'll have a representative from ePassporte contact you with the particulars via ICQ or you can drop an email to [email protected]. There are different types of accounts and yes it is possible to get one at no cost through a sponsor that offers that option to their affiliates. If, however, you are looking to use ePassporte as a payment mechanism (as in paying affiliates) you will need to get a business account which costs less than a $100 dollars and meets certain know your customer rules that any issuer must abide by. And Gasper is right. With instant worldwide transfer capabilities and any Visa / Plus ATM machine, you are always close to your money. http://www.epochsystems.com/images/epass_120x60.gif |
After speaking with your reps, I will NOT be using EpassPorte
First of all they wanted $100 for a business account, ok so I inquired about a personal account, $40! I have a paypal account and its FREE, and it has a PayPal atm card and you can transfer to your bank account. What gives you the right to charge me $40 for a service that you charge for on a per transaction basis as well!? I am quite displeased with your policies and will not be using EPassPorte Oh and as far as verifying who you are, and who you claim to be, PayPal takes the risk and transfers like $0.20 and $0.30 cents into your account to verify you (the customer). The customer doesn't have to send money to PayPal to verify who they are, you have this all wrong and charge wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too much for an account Thanks, if you'd like to give me a free account that is the ONLY way I am going to use EPassPorte |
I use both. They both have positives and negatives but if managed properly are great tools.
The bad part about Paypal is if you do transactions with a suspect account you risk having your account locked for an undetermined amount of time while you jump through hoops. I have not heard of any epassporte stories that are the same. |

I have had a Paypal business card for years and use it all the time. |
Zagi,
What is the value of something you get for free? Well, that depends I suppose. If you're talking about a free ePassporte account that a sponsor program gives to your for your valuable services, I would say that is a nice perk. ePassporte is not a perfect solution for everyone but it was designed for the adult market and their needs as opposed to Pay Pal who wants nothing to do with it. If you don't want to meet the "know your customer" rules then we can't help you. And the Pay Pal scenario you're talking about is for ACH loading, not wire transfers. There are different rules for different types of accounts. It's called being as flexible as we can while playing by the rules and trying to run a profitable business which provides a valuable service. If you don't like the answers you don't have to use the product. http://www.epochsystems.com/images/epass_120x60.gif |

coz I'm talking debit cards |
zagi, there is no such thing as a free lunch. ePassporte charges fees in line with the services that we provide. It's certainly not a payment system for everyone but it does work quite well for hundreds of thousands of people across the world.
We haven't changed our pricing one bit with the Paypal situation, these are the same fees we have had for more than a year now, in case anyone is wondering. We are also very adult friendly, with few exceptions our service is outstanding and we work with our clients to make them more money with less effort. If you choose not to use ePassporte, that is your decision. I'm sorry to hear it but we are in the process of making enough money to stay in business and do the right thing for our clients, not in the business of losing money so that we can't continue to run a top notch financial company. |
epassporte sucks... i've mailed couple of times from my epassporte account and get no reply in 2 weeks :(
|
Epassporte is the dogs bollocks and gets a big thumbs up from me. I dont think you should let the fee make you so indignant, its bad for the blood pressure.
|
Expensive but usefull. Better having it than not.
My :2 cents: |

drop me an email with the problem and please include your account username and I'll see what I can do to help you out -- |
Spoke I think to the 4th rep today :)
Basically it comes down to this If you want to wire funds to your bank account, ePassPorte charges you a $50 fee + whatever fees your bank is going to charge you. I dont feel to safe leaving my money in either PayPal's account or EpassPorte and would like to extract it asap, frequently. Paypal does this for free. Now there are also fees involved just for setting up an account. $5 virtual account, $35 atm card, $60 business filing fee. I can understand that you need to charge these fees, but then there is the outrageous percentages charged as well. 8% for starters as a transaction fee seems VERY high compared to 2.39% At this point im looking for a comparable solution, i'd even settle for the signup fees if you could work the percentages and transfer fees. |
