all my mission critical is at ISPrime for obvious reasons, I just need it to burn massive amounts of bandwidth on gallerys:glugglug

Servermatrix is top notch. Support answers within 1 hour max for me and their shit is fast! And those prices are sick! You can go ahead and just order 5 boxes at once for those prices:thumbsup

If you are a serious webmaster then go with Jupiter Hosting..

Id talk to Poppy.. Class act and the product will speak for itself.

Judging by you listing rackshack as one of your choices kinda says you arent a serious webmaster though...

But if you want to change, and become made, go with Jupiter.

I am about to try out servermatrix myself for tgps. They look great and I have heard good stuff from other guys about them.

They have good servers, but even though it's fully managed, you should know how to manage your own servers before using any fully managed service.

same here - my gallery BW is now on www.offrack.com and it is working out for me so far

i have 4 servers at server matrix

and 7 at rackshack


for the price it is good.
it gets the job done for less important things.

the only major prob i had with rackshack were them fucking up the billing apart from that it has been ok.

Pixhell, cogent is much better than it used to be.
They have a bad rep and a fairly good network.

Yep, the minimum any account I can find has is 1000 GB. I have been with them for almost 2 years and I am at 1000 GB too. That's about the best $119 I spend all month long.

I switched to servermatrix a couple of weeks ago and they are excellent.

Looked at rackshack to start with though read some bad things about them and then they signed with SCO so not a chance in hell of me using them.

Actually, both are pretty good IMO. Rackshack has fast setup times, and has some solid bandwidth for the price.

My only gripe with Rackshack is I think their MRTG graphs are a bit screwed up. When I had servers with them, and the monthly bill came... the MRTG graphs always seemed to be at least 20% higher than my own estimations using logfile analysis.

Actually because of this very reason I switched to The Planet - which their dedicated server division later became ServerMatrix.
Since switching, the bandwidth graphs always seem to be perfect now, and never have any bandwidth overages like I occasionally had with Rackshack.

Just my :2 cents: on the issue...

Rackshack BAD. VERY BAD.

Servermatrix = Really Good, and real cheap prices.
If you know your way with servers and know a controlpanel and
SSH you don't need to have expensive support bundled in a server price like ISprime.
Servermatrix answer real fast and if somethign is wrong with the server just call them and they will be on yoru server asap.

EV1servers (rackshack) is ok but my feeling is that Servermatrix is much better.

Candidhosting - Is good, this is where my porn is.

By the way - ISPrime is really, really expensive.

I got 3 servers on rackshack and 2 on servermatrix.

they are both as good as the other

don't know about SM
but a big NO for ev1,
they can unplug your server for a bounce email with a virus.
and it'll take you half a day to get it back.

server matrix is currently down due to a network outage :feels-hot

I have had a server with Server Matrix since December 03. Absolutely zero complaints so far and the little support I have needed has been quick and friendly.
