Victoria's Secret on Trial in Little Rock

LITTLE ROCK, AR - A close friend of Linda Rossby who helped her recover from severe burns testified today in Rossby's lawsuit against Victoria's Secret today.

Rossby sued the lingerie company after her long-sleeved nightgown ignited when she reached into a stove where food was burning. Her lawyers argue that the gown should have had a label warning it could catch fire.

Janice McCorkle said Rossby cried during her recovery when she took off or put on a tight elastic suit intended to prevent scarring.

Defense lawyers showed jurors a videotape made in September 1998, five months after the incident. The video shows Rossby walking down the street.

McCorkle said even though Rossby could walk, she could not do basic tasks such as going to the bathroom on her own for three years.
