Spyware cleaner and site, what would YOU like to see?
 

We're currently building a spyware cleaner app and a site.
From a user point of view, what would you like to see and what do you think would be the top features such a site should absolutely have?

Exactly, one that actually works.... And FREE. I've got one now. It works well and is free.

Which one you're using kingporn?

Having to run 4 apps sucks, and none of them remove the blood one that sets your home page to a site and fixes it so you get http:/// if you click links to download stuff.

I use ad aware and spybot but i gotta do a lot of shit manually

Real-time filtering and comprehensive scanning would be nice.

AdAware and Spybot both pick up stuff the other missed, which is quite irritating, and even both of those can miss stuff that Norton 2004 finds.

Just being able to click a button and having the problems identified and removed would be worthwhile. If it could run in the background and stop the things from getting in there in the first place, that'd be even better.

Your competing against Spybot and Ad-aware. The two of them have
a substantial hold on the market. Both are free and both have the ability
to update via secure proxy servers. Also spyware distributors are DoS'ing
anti-spyware servers in an attempt to quell the distribution of the software.
All the major players have already got past the DoS attacks and are now
secure against the attacks but they had to add proxy servers and restructure
their entire networks to shield themselves.

So unless your ready to deal with server attacks and distributing free software
for absolutely no gain you may be in for a profitless long ride. Any hidden attempt
to guise anti-spyware as a tool to gain traffic, sales, or personal information
will most likely cause one grief in legal ways.

There is a company that offers an online (applet) spyware scan as well as
inventive spamming to sell their anti-spyware software. I'm not going to name
them because they themselves have sales tactics that are very suspect. If
you do install their applet, scan, and it does identify spyware you can't remove
the spyware but are directed on how to purchase their anti-spyware. The
online scan also gives false reports and this has caused technicians to expose
the false software for what it is.

Adaware is one of of the two that I use... Great program
