try hitting F5 or F8 (forget which one it is) on boot up that will manually take you into safe mode.. then just uncheck that box
|
I have tried that, it hangs,
I have even went as far as removing my hard drive and installing it on my other computer to make backups of my docs but i can't get into my admin files, access denied.:BangBang: |
|
How about F5 and last known good configuration.... Otherwise, reload hahahahahahas, but not as a new install.

there is a file on your c drive called boot.ini
just open it up in notepad and take out the /safeboot part you can also run CWS shredder..it might be too late .. you probably removed some files that you weren't supposed to. I have already ran CWShredder but the virus was shutting it down (crafty little fuker) that's why I was instructed to boot in safe mode. Click |
Go in safe mode with networking . Run ad aware and spybot THEN go thru your registery one by one.
|
All this is moot unless you shut off WindowsXP system restore function first.

Happy Update:
I edited that boot.ini with no such luck, my comp was way fucked by then I guess I messed with too much shit in dos trying to fix. I was able to run my drive as a slave on my other comp, grant access and copy the files to the master(finally) then format, I bought a new HD and I am installing it and Xp on my main comp as we speak. I will be up and running by tonight :glugglug Thank you all for your suggestions. I am such a slave to my computer. I felt like my head was cut off. EVERYONE BACK UP YOUR FILES!! TONIGHT! Ya never know! :thumbsup |

Sounds like your running NTFS as your system drive.... I would never do that because you can end up locking yourself out of files in case of a disaster and the need to do recovery on another system... I would reccomend installing your OS on a small FAT32 partition next time. :2 cents:
