go with the Nikon D70, and get yourself a few of those brand new DX lenses :thumbsup

The new Nikon D70 is the top digital camera on the market right now in that price range.

My Nikon 5700 does awesome...just under a grand. But with your budget, look at the Fuji S2 or the Nikon D100
