Designers: What Are You Using For A Monitor?
 

Looking to buy a new monitor soon, what do you recommend?

Sony CPD-E540. Its what im using and I love it.

I grabbed 2 Phillips 17" CRTs ,
Good enough for me ..
although I want a third one ;)

an old atari monitor with a converter and a mac PC splitter and switchbox

There is "Flat Screen" and "Flat Panel". Flat Screen means the glass
is flat (passé), Flat Panel means the casing is thin profile...I'm sure
your thinking about flat panel monitors.

Anyway dumbness aside...these are two high end designer type monitors.

One 19" Viewsonic GraphicSeries, and a 17" Compaq Trinitron. Colors on the compaq suck compared to the viewsonic.
Both of my monitors are CRTs, I won't get a TFT until they improve more and those colors start looking the same no matter where you look them from. I wanted to get one and get rid of all the radiation, but they're still not much better than mu laptop screen (move head 2 inches in any way and all the colors are a bit different). I saw a cool 19" Samsung TFT that had almost no color change, but still not good enough for design imho.
