WOW!!! 1:76 on 404 traffic!! I don't believe it!!
 

Ok, I'm going to do a little spam here, but only because I'm so happy I changed my .htaccess today to you guys...

I get at least 500 404 errors a day and I've NEVER been able to convert this traffic!! But today I changed sponsors and WOW, I had a great surprise...

Yes, I've always heard e-mail sponsors are the best to send your 404 traffic, but I had never tried it before.

Today I got 7 sign ups from my 404 traffic!!

PS: Do you guys think that I should try other e-mail sponsors to see if I can convert better this traffic or should I stick to DateDollars?

no way. i heard 404 traffic converts at least at 1:1000. there is no way u could of got 1:76 unless it was SE traffic

Just yesterday I was bashing a guy over JBM that said that he was converting better then 1:1000 on pop-up traffic and today, just because I changed the URL on my .htaccess I got a few bucks out of it! That was great!

do you guys even read? he said it was 7 EMAIL signups. 1:76 is NOT a good ratio for email signups. it looks normal for 404 traffic. can we see the 404 page you used? i might be interested in signing up under you.

404 traffic also can be originally from SE ;))))))))

If I was doing good with a sponsor I'd shut my mouth ... You don't want it to become saturated.

Unless the 404 traffic is a SE traffic you can by 1 000 000 hits for :2 cents: , so yes
1:76 is a fucking good ratio even for an email sponsor...

1:76 for email signups sucks ass but for 404 traffic its great.

actually I think my ratio is so bad since most of the 404 traffic is just bots looking for files like /cgi-bin/ccbill and /cgi-bin/mailform.cgi , /user_admin, etc
