Merchant accounts question
 

Okay, I just got off the phone with a gentleman from a company that wants to provide merchant accounts for the adult industry, and asked me if I would be interested in running/beginning an affiliate program for them.

I am considering it, but I have a few questions for you.

What would you look for in a program like this?

What would make you apply for a merchant account with a relatively new company (in the adult market, it is my understanding that they are already involved in the mainstream market)?

First off,

Stability for one. Who are they and who have the processed for? What experience do they have in the adult business? Who in their company is spearheading this initiative? Where are they based out of? Who is their acquiring bank or banks? Do you have to pay the VISA fee? Are you required to incorporate in Europe?

These are just a few questions. There are more that you can ask. Of course, you can also try our company as well.

I would have to agree with mmaisonet, There are alot of fly-by-nighters out there making promises they cannot keep. I would stick to a well known company such as Netbilling, Cardservice, Humboldt, SCSoffshore etc...

I been waiting to hear back from a domestic merchant account situation for 3 weeks, dont hold your breath for too long, offshore is the only viable solution unless you got volume.
