Aye, the female Black Widow spider is a creature to be respected. While her venom isn't as potent as many other dangerous spiders in the world (those Aussies have the USA beat), the effects of her bite have been hahahahahahahahaed as being extremely painful. I've heard its been said that the hours following a Black Widow bite are some times when you would genuinely wish that you were dead.

Funny spider story,


Was out looking for something in my barn late one afternoon, it was almost dark, could barely see. Anyways I knew that there were a bunch of Wolf spiders that live out there. They're not bad spiders but still. So I am bending over looking thru a box and I feel something crawl down my leg, so I franticly stomp and shake my leg, and I hear this CRUNCH CRUNCH CRUNCH. So I look down and there are my 200 dolla prescription RayBans all smashed up. I had them looped in my shirt collar and they fell out and sorta rolled down my leg. :(
