Apprentice - A Big Setup or are they for real

After watching all those episodes it just looks like everything is just a big drama with a reality show face to it. Does anyone else agree with me ?

Although I think most reality shows are set up for some reason this seems legit to me.

I think it's real, I may be gullible though.

Kard63 04-09-2004 01:21 AM

real

There's a little closing blurb on the right side of the credits that makes it pretty clear that the results are manipulated...but I don't care. Mark Burnett makes good TV and that's what I watch for. Woo hoo!

Everything on TV is scripted or edited so as to create the flow the producers are looking for.

I thought that guy was really good. Would hire him over most of the others.

He answered the education question really badly though. Saying that he learned everything he knew from Art of the Deal knocked him out I think because then what is he bringing to the table. The Harvard man answered the questions that day much better, but I think he actually has way less leadership ability.

Wasn't just his education, it was because he was a 'loose canon' as they put it. He has a good background, even though he only had a high school education. Plus he made it to the final 5, and he had the least amount of education.

Agreed. I bet they knew Omarossa was an incompetent bitch from the start..

myjah 04-09-2004 08:45 AM

they cut so much of it that you can't take everything word for word. those meetings with Trump apparently run for a couple of hours, not just a few minutes.

emmanuelle 04-09-2004 09:38 AM

Last week's show was a total fraud.

PuhLease! Amy & Nick being saved 9 minutes from the deadline by someone coming back and offering a very odd $40,800?
They wanted to throw a New Year's party and had to be out by midnight- what kind of a party planner would go for that?

emmanuelle 04-09-2004 09:40 AM

Also, Nick & Amy's family members were available to fly to NYC then Florida the very next day. Unlikely too unless it was preplanned.

Don't know, don't care if the results were manipulated. But all the drama concerning Omarossa is defintely real

I thought is was a good show until they brought back the fired idiots last night. Rediculous. And that Amarosa chick cannot possibly be that stupid!

Never said it wasn't real...but the producers were looking for someone of her character for the show

She was fired 4 times in 2 years. Stick her in a team with any semi-competent person and there's bound to be some drama

Obviously they contacted each person's guest to make sure they were available in the next day in case they won...
