Who Do You Think Are The Biggest Networkers In The Adult Industry?
 

I was thinking about this the other day while in Phoenix. It's amazing to me to see some guys work these rooms. They know EVERYhahahaha!!!

It's really incredible to see how many people they know and network with. I thought I knew quite a few people in the adult industry but in comparison to these guys I know 1% of the people they know.

Who do you think are the biggest networkers in this biz?

And I am talking about people you guys have NEVER seen or met, that are power players in this business.

Be in this business for almost 6 years, throw a party for 5000 webmasters, and see how many people you get to know real well...

i would also like to say Kimmy Kim and Aly Drummond as well as J Styles know a fuckload of people...

Anyone from YNOT, including Bob, LAJ, and Twinkley. They have been amazing help, and are the people I typically go to when I need a networking contact :-)

I'm always amazed at how everyone not just knows them at the parties but on the boards as well.

I would say Mark from CCbill knew a ton of people at the convention too.

Everyone knows J.F.K so he has to be up there too.

Hank, you hit the nail on the head- my sis in law Jennifer knows a shitload of people too- she has 900 active accounts in her books each month....

But only a few have that uncanny ability to remember faces, names, and websites like Joe E....

I'm betting some Billy Graham watching pinhead in Ashhahahahaha's FBI knows the most people in the biz... or at least knows of them, complete with photos and dossiers.

Thanks JFK. I'd have to be honest with everyone. I do know the most webmasters in the game.

The term networking is much different then "being known". For me, I cold called the entire adult 10,000 back in 97 and 98. I did whois searches and actually called everyone that ranked in the top 10,000 using the only counter at that time, Websidestory. Hitbox counter they called it for you old schoolers.

Talking and discussing marketing strategies is a part of networking. I've been able to maintain a high level of marketing by branding my own projects that revolve around webmaster related services. The D$ Show enables me to interview and keep networking while filming personal moments while networking on film. The Players Balll gives me my largest network of webmasters since I hand the passes out personally and get hit up by thousands of new comers that eventually become Brad Shaws, Hoopers, and many other recognizable players that are doing well today. I look at newbies as potentially large players in the future, I treat everyone the same. I'm sure anyone who's ever met me will agree with that.

Other people who are incredibly networked are people who work on the front lines for big affiliate programs, ad services like AVN magazine, GFY employees, bigger hosting companies like National Net, and any other service that caters to a higher volume of webmasters or the cream of the crop with few webmasters.

These days we have lot's of well networked people. Back in 97, I was in a group of only a handful of people.

I'll have to hahahahaha a book one day.

knows the most people- i don't know - 3 or 4 come to mind. Sweet T, Dmoney, kimmykim, Jman, Aly, but as more people are becoming show regulars defining who knows the most people is getting harder

Good point ... Only here, non business wise, when I throw a party, every1 wants to know us and shit ... It's getting annoying to see all thoses groupies kissing so we can take a pic to put them on our website or magasine . So in adult business, that must be 10 time worst since it's all business releated and everyhahahaha is there to make new contacts.

Hard to say like sleazy said its a small circle and not to hard when you goto most of the shows and over the course of a couple years you know everyone.

I'd have to say a new category should be created for people like JMan. Most social at the shows. I don't hit every single private room party or party for that matter like I used to. There's lot's of people you always see at parties and stuff. Even VirtuMike is one of those who always seems to be hanging in the background of a room or party. Grimshawn is a social butterfly.

i dont think thats a completely true statment. it just means that a individual would have a better capability to have things done correctly with the right people.......

Thanks darling. I have to say though... networking or winning a popularity contest is certainly one thing... but actually doing something about it is another. Implementation is everything! :winkwink:
