A reversal of the Earth's magnetic field, a rare but feared event due to the catastrophic effect it could have on human life, takes about 7,000 years to complete, according to a study.

What should I do to prepare???

I think the only sensible reaction is to run around gibbering and flailing your arms in the air for the next few hours, then spend the rest of the day at a piano keyboard repeatedly smashing your head into it.

Move to San Francisco, or New York.... walk the streets in a diaper holding a sign announcing it to the world...

I say a tv show where they talking about the earth's magnetic field reversing and how it does it. I didn't see anything about the end of the world on the tv show. The magnetic field pretty much just flips and they showed signs that it is close to flipping again.
