A three-wheeled car that measures just one metre across and carries two people could be the answer to our growing traffic crisis, its developers say.

i thought *ginger* ( segway ) was supposed to solve the traffic problems in big cities :)

sean416 04-08-2004 03:21 AM

it looks like the rides from Demolition Man.. the snipes/stalone movie.

brickbat 04-08-2004 03:22 AM

Yeah it looks way too cramped for 2 people - surprising that it's designed in Europe. Heh 50mph top speed - it can't MAKE the speed limit :)

Odin88 04-08-2004 03:23 AM

Yes, it is about time we do something about fixing the problem of cars and pollution. I would step down from a large car to any sort of car if it truly was going to be a hell of alot more ecologically viable.

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 04-08-2004 03:23 AM

I'll take one.

The Clever (Compact Low Emission Vehicle for Urban Transport) car has been developed by nine European countries and is funded by the EU.

kowntafit 04-08-2004 04:58 AM

There goes doing it on the back seat. :winkwink:

I think it would be hard enough to fit on the back seat.

Vendzilla 04-08-2004 05:01 AM

Does that thing got a hemi in it?

dav555add 04-08-2004 05:04 AM

Sure. Any one who has ever tried to park in PAris would love to drive that :2 cents:

grumpy 04-08-2004 05:09 AM

Its designed in Holland and already for sale there. A test and impression has be don last year in the program Top Gear. So old news.

hova 04-08-2004 05:11 AM

Hell yeah, looks cool

Raf1 04-08-2004 05:11 AM

That thing is just too small

grumpy 04-08-2004 05:16 AM

The link to the site http://www.carver.nl/home.htm
Name of the bike is carver ( not realy a bike )

Sarah_Jayne 04-08-2004 06:42 AM

every once in a while I see people in London with something like that already but it is like a bicycle. My concern is that it is so low that they can't properly be seen.

jhauser 04-08-2004 07:03 AM

That's a freaky looking vehicle.

Firehorse 04-08-2004 07:12 AM

It's ok when you don't need to take the family along apart from that it is limited. I encourage environmentally friendly initiatives though. :)

pornguy 04-08-2004 07:41 AM

Yeahl. That thing will stand up real well here in the US against an asshole in a hummer on the phone!!!

Not something to drive in the US. Maybe in other countries where cars are not such a status thing.
