Is it possible to use 2 .htpasswd files in 1 .htaccess file?
Alright i've been having a little trouble here, could someone please point me in the right direction.
AuthUserFile /usr/home/folder1/.htpasswd AuthUserFile /usr/home/folder2/.htpasswd AuthGroupFile /dev/null AuthName RESTRICTED AuthType Basic *Limit GET POST* require valid-user */Limit* -- This doesn't seem to work, how would I go about making it work? Thanks for any help ^_^ |
*cough*

I don't think that will work, but remember that the password file doesn't *have* to be named .htpasswd. Try renaming one of them.
|
Well that doesn't really help, what I'm trying to do is allow users from 2 seperate sites access to 1 central site.. not having any luck -_-
|
Set a cron job to combine both htpasswd files together into a 3rd file, every minute or so ..
Only problem you'll have is possible duplicate users. |
There are lots of ways you can do this depending on whether your sites are on the same server or not.
Check this script out, might help. http://realtimescripts.com/docs/merge.htm |
Yup! merge.pl works great. I recommend that + its free. :thumbsup
