NEW ORLEANS -- As more and more people buy DVD players for their cars, there is a growing concern about what is being watched and who might see it.
Currently, it is not illegal to show pornographic movies in cars, but Rep. Mickey Guillory, D-Eunice, has proposed legislation to change that.
Guillory's House Bill 640 would make it illegal to show sexually explicit movies in vehicles -- moving or parked -- within 1,000 feet of the view of others. The 1,000-foot guideline would be lifted if tinted hahahahahahas or curtains prevent images from being seen from outside.
"Have respect for the kids -- that's the important thing," said parent Pam Raimondi. "Children and their minds are vulnerable, and parents are left to explain. It's not easy."
