Would you do buhainehaha with thiha perhaon?
So I was sitting out by the pool in Phoenix and a rather well known person approached me. We started discussing business and in-between drunken hiccups...this person says "We are not exactly honest people."
At this point my question is....Do they really expect me to be interested in doing business with them after that? This is like trying to pick up on somebody by telling them that you suck in bed (not the fun happy way). Oh well...Better to find out from the horses mouth now than after they have fucked you over. Today's lesson.....When talking business...Get the other person hammered and see how much truth you can get them to spill before doing business with them. :2 cents: |
Interesting

wtf indeed :Graucho

ive never seen you drink - have you started?
|
at least the drink talk was honest:winkwink:
|
not going to name names? it could help us all out :thumbsup
|
and why wont you name them?
this thread is useless without who it is. what if i am getting fucked by them? how many more of your fellow webmasters will you watch get fucked by them if they are "well known" as you put it. c'mon man, lay it down. if i talked to some bitch said that, id lay it on the board for all to see. ive started pulling links to most sponsors now and am no longer even supporting the ideas of sending traffic to sponsors due to so much bullshit. and threads like this and others I know dealing with bullshit program owners who lie to your face. rather send it to my own. so who is it dawg? |

I have known this person for a few years and have never even heard of them fucking anyone over. Perhaps it was just drunken blabbering....No need to ruin a persons rep over that. Although it will keep my from doing business with them just in case. |
"We are not exactly honest people."
:1orglaugh Was he Russian? |
...who DO you do biz with? maybe we can figure it out that way

No, she's Mexican. WTF does it matter? |

drunken blabbering? the last thing i do when i get drunk, which i do a couple times a week, is go around telling people "im not really an honest guy" this is probably not even real drama anyway. so ill stop playing along. :thumbsup |
it reminds me of the movie "Phone Booth" by Colen Farrell. lies and being trustworthy :thumbsup
|
What's the question again? Would we do business with some one who would actually talk to that AaronM guy?

Where's the fucking drama in that? |

I give up trying to post legit questions on these boards. Eat a bag of shit...all of you. :321GFY |

and the answer is no. ;) i dont do business with ANYONE with a shady past. never have, never will. one of the only reasons I actually post on boards is to keep up on whos who and to watch things to know who i should lean towards in regards to who i DO do business with. :thumbsup |
it is hard for me to answer this seriously becoz i WAS NOT THERE
too much can be taklen out of context - beside the fact he/she was drinking like you said could be drunk banter the sentance "We are not exactly honest people." could refer to this industry in general |
some one comes up to drunk and says some shit. i wouldn't neccesarliy take it to me anything. do they own the company? or are they some peon working there?
|
I slept with the devil so why not :thumbsup
|
good question indeed :winkwink:

This guy kept his mouth shut while PIBCash ripped of how many webmasters? I wouldn't expect him to name this guy over a drunken comment. |
Can you elaborate more on not being honest? Like are we talking something illegal such as fraud (shaving sales, etc...) or something in the gray area but possibly still legal. Obviously, we'd all like to know who and what but the extent of what they're doing is definitely something I'd like to know. I'm sure everyone has some dirty secrets they'd like to keep under wraps during the course of business, just if its illegal or not...

Oh yeah....A hater. :glugglug |
I'm with Fletch on this one I would drop the name on the board in a second. One thing I believe about people who are drunk is that they speak the truth and what's really on their mind because they can't control themselves to hold it in. So if you ever tell me some bullshit when you're drunk, you've got not excuses and I'm going to spill your blood for all the others you're screwing to know.

That's one of the best things about drinking with people. When a person gets a bit tipsy they usually get very honest and talk out loud.
You can bond with people when you have a few drinks together. From this you can tell if you want to do business or not. But in my example I'm talking about talking business sober FIRST and then going and having drinks later in the evening. That way you have a common ground reason for celebrating (business deal accomplised). From here the night will be very fun OR the personal is a smuck and will admit how he's gonna screw u over with the deal. Plus I'm a very good judge of character and peoples true feelings/personalites tend to come out when they are drunk. So here's to drunken business deals, lol :thumbsup |
